In September 2015 I accredited my Diploma at the International Permaculture Convergence 2015 held just outside London. It was an amazing event to complete this section of my Permaculture learning. From September there will be no further updates to this website and blog, but I have created a new one, for my 'Post Diploma' work, stories, reflections and news. You can find my new website and blog at ktshepherdpermaculture.com
I started learning about permaculture in my early 20's as many people do, as a way of finding positive solutions to heal our horribly broken Earth and her communities. Prior to this time I was on a fast course to complete burn out, trying to make sense of the enormity of how we humans have caused so much damage and distress.
Years later my partner bought me a place on Patrick Whitefield’s PDC at Ragman’s Lane Farm in June 2011. Those 2 weeks were unbelievable, not only was the experience of being taught by Patrick, totally mind-blowing, but for that time I was part of a community of the most wonderful people, many of who I know I will never loose touch with. Patrick’s course enabled me to realise how much further I wanted to take my knowledge, skill, and experience in permaculture design.
In the November of that year I, (and 6 others from Patrick’s June 2011 group), signed up for the Diploma in Applied Permaculture Design to begin the next stage of my permaculture learning.
Its been a completely massively life changing time in so many ways, and I’m hoping that the pages on this website will go someway to show you how. As well as the pages, which contain the work and reflection required for completion of the Diploma, you will also find my Blog, which tells many more chapters to my story.
Please feel free to contact me via email or social media to discuss or comment on any of my work.
